Cookie Policy

The cookies PCS Calculator and its advertising and analytics partners set, what each is used for, and how to change your consent choices at any time.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit. They allow the website to remember your actions and preferences over a period of time, so you don't have to re-enter them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another.

Cookies can be set by the website you are visiting ("first-party cookies") or by other services running on that page ("third-party cookies"). Some cookies are stored only for the duration of your browser session and are deleted when you close your browser ("session cookies"), while others remain on your device for a set period after the session ends ("persistent cookies").

Essential Cookies

Essential cookies are always active because they are necessary for the website to function. They cannot be switched off without breaking core functionality.

Saved calculator entries — Many of our calculators (not the main PCS calculator) remember what you entered in your browser's local storage (not cookies), so your figures are still there when you come back. This saved copy stays on your device until you clear this Site's data in your browser settings; it is not sent to us or to anyone else.
Cookie consent preference — We store your cookie consent choice (accept all, reject non-essential, or custom preferences) in your browser's local storage so we can honor your preferences on return visits without asking each time.

Analytics Cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the Site so we can improve it. These cookies are optional. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland they are set only after you accept them. Elsewhere they are on by default until you turn them off with Decline All on the cookie banner or in Cookie Preferences, and they stay off if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal.

Google Analytics — Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information about how visitors use the Site, including which pages they visit, how long they spend on each page, and how they arrived at the Site. We use this data in aggregate form. Google Analytics sets two cookies: _ga (2 years) and _ga_DQZ5NC1PKR (2 years). You can opt out at any time by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising & Affiliate Cookies

Advertising and affiliate cookies are used to display relevant ads and to attribute commissions when you click affiliate links. Google AdSense cookies follow the same rule as analytics cookies: in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland they are set only after you accept them, and elsewhere they are on by default until you turn them off. Affiliate cookies work differently. The affiliate network sets them from its own website when you click one of our affiliate links, whatever you have chosen in our cookie settings, so the way to avoid them is not to click affiliate links, or to clear your cookies afterward.

Google AdSense (DoubleClick) — Google AdSense uses the DoubleClick cookie and related technologies to serve advertisements based on your interests. Google may use cookies to personalize ads based on your prior visits to this Site and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ad Settings.
MaxBounty — When you click a MaxBounty affiliate link, MaxBounty sets tracking cookies on your device via domains such as afflat3c1.com and afflat3c2.com. These cookies are used solely for commission attribution — to track that the click originated from this Site so that we can receive a referral commission if you complete a qualifying action. No calculator inputs or personal information you entered on this Site are shared with MaxBounty. See the MaxBounty Privacy Policy.
FlexOffers — When you click a FlexOffers affiliate link, FlexOffers sets tracking cookies on your device via its own domains. These cookies are used solely for commission attribution. No calculator inputs or personal information you entered on this Site are shared with FlexOffers. See the FlexOffers Privacy Policy.
